Sabau. Chief Insp Sabau will now head the traffic section in the Mabvuku area. The handover and takeover ceremony was attended by police public relations officers in the province and journalists.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Insp Sabau said he had a good working relationship with his colleagues, the public and the media. He urged officers to continue maintaining the good relations.
“The aspect of creating good relationships is of paramount importance,” said Chief Insp Sabau.
“I had a good working relationship with both the public and the journalists from all media houses. From today (yesterday) I have ceased to be a police spokesperson and won’t be commenting on anything since I will be the officer-in-charge Mabvuku traffic.”
Insp Chibanda applauded Chief Insp Sabau and said he would continue with his legacy.
He said Chief Insp Sabau had been his mentor in the public relations section for the past two years.
“In 2010, I was attached to his office and I am hoping that what I have learnt from him will help me in this new office,” he said.
Insp Chibanda said it was his hope that relationships created by Chief Insp Sabau with the journalists would continue.
