Prince Edward High School will be a hive of activity when it hosts the annual Eversharp Under-20 Schools Basketball tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The two-day tournament will see both boys and girls battling it out for the coveted trophies and cash prizes.
Last year, Prince Edward and Girls High were crowned champions.
Tournament coordinator Sledge Chinyoka said all was in place to host the tournament.
“We are happy to announce the dates for the 2024 edition of the Eversharp Under-20 Basketball Tournament which will be held on October 20 and 21 at Prince Edward,” he said.
“We are looking forward to a big and better tournament as we have already started processing the fixtures and the verification process.
“We are expecting 40 schools with Prince Edward and Girls High being the defending champions. This year we need to empower non-traditional playing schools so that we can avail players from those schools to be scouted.”
Traditional powerhouses Mt Pleasant, Murehwa High, Evelin and Bradley are expected to be eying the big prize.
