Private transport operators will converge in Harare on Saturday for an all-stakeholders conference following the recent liberalisation of the transport sector by Government.

Zimbabwe Union of Drivers and Conductors (ZUDAC) is coordinating the meeting.

The union’s president, Mr Fradreck Maguramhinga, said the conference seeks to find a way forward.

“During the conference, we are going to have presentations and deliberations on how private operators can come back organised differently from the pre-Covid era, mindful of the provisions at law, by-laws and road-use regulations,” he said.

Other private operators and Government officials are expected to attend.
