THE Professional Women, Women Executives and Business Women’s Forum (Proweb) on Friday officially launched its 20th anniversary celebrations under the theme “20 Years of Impact: From Empowerment to Prosperity”.
In a statement on Saturday, Proweb said this year’s celebration is not just about reflecting on the past two decades but envisioning a future where women are at the forefront of economic progress.
“The Professional Women, Women Executives and Business Women’s Forum (Proweb) has officially launched its 20th Anniversary Celebrations under the theme “20 Years of Impact: From Empowerment to Prosperity,” reads the statement.
“The launch event, held last evening, brought together Government officials, corporate leaders, development partners and Proweb members to celebrate two decades of remarkable achievements in empowering women in business, leadership and economic development.”

Over the last 20 years, Proweb says it has empowered thousands of women, transforming their lives and communities through various programmes and initiatives.
“We are committed to shaping the next 20 years by developing strategy projects such as Coal Grant Initiatives that focus on providing financial support and resources to women involved in the coal industry aiming to enhance their participation and economic success within this sector,” reads the statement.
“We also have special projects that encompass various programmes designed to support women, entrepreneurs and professionals, promoting skills development, access to markets and networking opportunities.”

High-level guests at the event included Women Affairs, Community, and Small and Medium Enterprise Development Minister Monica Mutsvangwa, China’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Zhou Ding, diplomats and captains of industry.
