FIVE suspects broke into a business premise in Avondale, attacked the security guard before getting away with US$136 712 cash and other valuables.
The robbery took place along College Road, Alex Park, in Avondale early Tuesday morning.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“Five unknown suspects attacked a security guard (53) who was on duty and tied his legs and hands.
“The suspects ransacked the offices before stealing valuables, which include two safes containing US$135 712 cash, four inverters, two batteries, a laptop and two computers,” he said.
