With few hours left for the grand finale of the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico, bubbly Zimbabwean representative Sakhile Dube has revealed the dress she will be wearing for the contest.

The dress was designed by prominent local designer Ishmael Tsakatsa of Zarguesia brand.

He said he chose the colour red because of Sakhile’s fierce confidence.

“The dress name is ‘The Radiant Treasure,” said Zarguesia.

“It draws its inspiration from the bible verse, 2 Corinthians 4 verse 7, which speaks of the inner treasure we carry within us reflecting the divine light of God that empowers us to dream and achieve the seemingly impossible.”

Zarguesia said “Radiant Treasure” serves as a visual manifestation of the biblical verse, celebrating the strength and beauty that arise from within.

“The gown symbolises the profound potential inherent in each individual, embodying the light that guides our aspirations,” he said.

“The dress features a meticulously chosen colour palette that includes rich, “earth tones”, like rust and brown, which harmoniously blend with Miss Zimbabwe’s skin tone.”

The colours, the designer said, represent the warmth and richness of the African landscape.

“Accents of gold are interwoven throughout the design, symbolising royalty and adding a luxurious touch that elevates the gown’s overall aesthetic,” said Zarguesia.

“Crafted from a delicate ‘skin mesh’ fabric, the gown allows for an alluring yet elegant silhouette.

“Each layer of the dress is adorned with hand-beaded, embellishments, meticulously applied one by one, creating a stunning visual texture that sparkles with every movement.”

“Radiant Treasure” is more than just a dress; it is a powerful statement of identity, grace, and inner strength.

As Miss Zimbabwe Universe 2024 steps onto the stage, she embodies a regal African beauty that radiates confidence and excellence.

The gown illuminates her presence, making her a beacon of inspiration and hope for all, showcasing the incredible potential that lies within each individual.
