NEW: Six people die in road accident

SIX people died and six others were injured in a road traffic accident that occurred along the Mutare-Shamhu road on Monday. 

In a statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said they will release names of victims in due course. 

“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred at the 9km peg along Mutare-Shamhu road on August 29, 2022 where six people died, while six others were injured after a motorist driving a Mazda T35 carrying timber with 14 passengers on board went off the road and overturned once,” said ZRP.
