NEW: Technology does it for RTG

RAINBOW Tourism Group (RTG)’s integrated mobile application, Gateway Stream, registered increased business activity in the first quarter to March 31 2023, driven by the growing use of its online shopping channels.

Gateway Stream, which was launched in May 2020, continues to gain momentum and its revenue contribution to the group’s improved over the years.

Said group company secretary, Mr Tapiwa Mari, in a recent update:

“Gateway Stream registered increased business activities, driven by Gateway Stream Media and online shopping channels.

“The platform continued to witness exponential growth in activities during the period under review, complementing the hotel’s revenue generation.”

In the quarter under review, RTG’s revenues grew by 123 percent in inflation-adjusted terms to $5,8 billion from $2,6 billion reported in the prior comparable quarter last year.

Foreign currency revenues grew by 115 percent compared to the quarter in 2022.
