POOR defending cost Tenax C.S again after they lost to Black Rhinos in this Castle Lager Premiership five-goal thriller played at Sakubva Stadium this afternoon.

The correctional services outfit twice came from behind to restore parity, but were undone by a leaky rearguard that was guilty of ball watching in all the instances they conceded as they came out second best to the army outfit in this battle of uniformed forces teams.

After going into the break down by one goal, Chauya Chikara roared back in the second stanza to draw level before succumbing to a Tawanda Nyamandwe strike in the 78th minute.

Panashe Mtasa and captain of the day Takunda “Sebo” Mapara were on target for Tenax.

Their opponents scored their other goals through Eli Ilunga and Ashwald Phiri.

Tenax coach Shadreck Mugurasave rued his team’s sloppy defending.

“The way we conceded those goals was disappointing; we should have defended better. Our overall performance was not that bad and I feel we deserved a draw, but poor mistakes at the back proved costly. It is one of those sad things that happen on a bad day in football, but we look forward to rectifying that in our next match against Triangle. We might be forced to reshuffle our rearguard,” said Mugurasave.
