NEW: Toll fees hiked

Online Reporter

Light motor vehicles will now pay $1 600 in toll fees, while minibuses and buses will fork out $2 400 and $3 200, respectively, in line with the new fees by the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara).

Heavy vehicles and haulage trucks will now part with $4 000 and $8 000 in that order.

In a statement, Zinara said: “We would advise our valued customers that with effect from February 1, 2023, the following Zimbabwe dollar toll fees will apply in terms of Section 4 of Statutory Instrument 32 of 2021.”

However, people residing within a 10km radius of a tollgate can pay $32 000 per month, giving them the right to pass through the tollgate anytime without any further fees.
