NEW: Two perish in Harare-Masvingo highway accident

TWO people died on the spot, while seven were injured when a bus was involved in a head-on collision with a truck near Beatrice, along the Harare-Masvingo highway, on Friday.

The bus had 33 passengers on board, while the truck was carrying three passengers.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) reports a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on October 28, 2022, at around 9.15am at the 31km peg along Harare-Masvingo Road, Beatrice, in which two people died while seven passengers were injured when an AVM bus with 33 passengers on board was involved in a head-on collision with a Hino Ranger truck with three passengers on board,” said police in a statement.
