NEW: Vice President Mohadi concludes visit to Iran

VICE President Kembo Mohadi has concluded his three-day visit to Tehran, Iran, where he attended the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

While here, VP Mohadi, who represented President Mnangagwa, paid a courtesy call on the new Iranian leader and discussed numerous matters of mutual interest between the two nations.

He attended a banquet following the inauguration of President Pezeshkian.

VP Mohadi and his delegation were seen off at the Mehrabad International Airport by Zimbabwe’s envoy to Iran, Ambassador Bright Kupemba; Iran ambassador to Zimbabwe Ambassador Abbas Navazani and Zimbabwean embassy staff.

Zimbabwe and Iran share strong diplomatic ties bound in their historical narratives, particularly in their resistance to Western influence and sanctions.
