NEW: Victorious Sables gets thunderous reception

THE victorious Zimbabwe national men’s rugby team got a rapturous reception at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport after touching down Monday afternoon from Uganda, where they won the 2024 Rugby Africa Cup.

The Sables were met by scores of ecstatic fans, family members, friends and officials from Zimbabwe Rugby Union.

Led by skipper Hilton Mudariki and coach Piet Benade, the Sables proudly displayed the continental silverware they won in Uganda after thrashing North African opponents Algeria 29-3 in the final on Sunday.
