THE Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with various colleges and universities to provide a curriculum in voter education.

Speaking in Chinhoyi this week during a training workshop on electoral processes for journalists from the Zimpapers Group, outgoing ZEC Commissioner Joyce Kazembe said the curriculum is meant to ensure voter education is learnt from a young age.

“ZEC has signed a number of documents and policies that will see voter education being part of the curriculum in colleges and universities,” she said.

“This seeks to ensure that the voting process is understood from an early stage and society understands the process.”
