NEW: Woman arrested for sexually abusing son

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested a 30-year-old Bulawayo woman for aggravated indecent assault after she allegedly had sexual intercourse on several accounts with her six-year-old son.

In a statement Thursday afternoon, the police said the offences were perpetrated between January and March this year.

“Police in Bulawayo have arrested a woman (30) for aggravated indecent assault in which she allegedly had sexual intercourse with her son, an infant aged six, several times on different occasions from January to 13 March 2022,” reads the statement.

“The offence was revealed after the victim who had been reported missing, made a report at ZRP West Commonage.”
