AS the world commemorates Menstrual Hygiene Day, Women4Water has highlighted the critical connection between water shortages and menstrual hygiene.

Speaking during Menstrual Hygiene Day celebrations held in Harare yesterday, the organisations’s team leader, Ms Caroline Mutimbanyoka, said: “As we commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day, Women4Water calls for immediate and sustained action to ensure that every woman and girl has access to water and sanitation,” she said.

“Women4Water is committed to supporting these changes and working towards a future where every woman and girl can manage her menstrual hygiene safely, comfortably and with pride.”
