NEW: Zambian Ambassador-designate presents credentials

Zambian Ambassador-designate to Zimbabwe Mr Derrick Livune on Thursday presented his credentials to President Mnangagwa at State House.

He promised to strengthen relations between Harare and Zimbabwe during his tenure.

“At State House this morning, His Excellency President Dr E.D. Mnangagwa received letters of credence from incoming Zambian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, H.E Derrick Livune,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in a statement.

“Ambassador Livune stated that his appointment is intended to further strengthen the relationship that our forefathers established, and that the two countries must fully utilise their trade agreements since they are all COMESA members.”
