THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority has reviewed the prices of diesel and petrol in both US$ and local currency, which have marginally gone up.

A litre of diesel now costs $550.59 up from $499.56 while petrol is now going for $539.56 from $481.02. Petrol is now pegged at US$1.73 from US$1.68 and diesel now costs US1.76 from US$1.74.

In a public notice today, ZERA said the new prices take effect from today.

“Please, be advised that there has been a review of prices for diesel and blend with effect from June 7. The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is now at E15. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” reads the notice.
