NEW: Zim goalie frustrated at SA club

Online Reporter

CHICKEN INN goalkeeper Donovan Bernard’s anticipated move to South African top-flight side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) FC hit a snag last week.

The goalkeeper has since returned to Bulawayo.

All appeared set for Bernard’s move to TTM but the goalie reportedly failed to agree personal terms with the side.

A source told The Sunday Mail Online that TTM wanted to put Bernard on trial before signing the former Young Warriors goalminder.

This did not sit well with Bernard, as the Zimbabwean had previously been told he would sign a contract without undergoing trials.

He pitched up for training at Chicken Inn yesterday but he will not be available for the Gamecocks’ high-profile match against Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.

“All I can confirm is that Donovan Bernard is back here,” said Chicken Inn gaffer Joey Antipas.
