THE Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat) has started a survey to assess cholera vaccine coverage rates in seven of the country’s 10 provinces.

The survey will also assess cholera prevention and control measures and evaluate the utilisation of sanitation facilities and safe water sources.

Said ZimStat in a statement:

“The Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency will be conducting the Oral Cholera Vaccine Coverage Survey household listing exercise from the 14th to the 22nd of March 2024.

“The listing exercise will be carried out in seven provinces, namely Harare, Manicaland, Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West, Masvingo, and Midlands.”

ZimStat said the survey’s findings will inform Government in designing effective public health interventions.
