ZIMBABWE Cricket have announced a 20-man squad for the one-off Ispahani Test Match against Bangladesh slated for July 7 to July 11 at Harare Sports Club.
The squad, which was released on Thursday, sees the return of skipper Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara and Timycen Maruma.
Williams sat out the two Tests against Pakistan because of a soft-tissue injury on his left hand, while the duo of Chatara and Maruma missed out on selection during Zimbabwe’s previous outing against Pakistan.
There is no place for Raza Sikandar Butt, as he continues his gradual return to action after surgery to remove a tumor.
However, the likes of Craig Ervine, Blessing Muzarabani, Brendan Taylor and Regis Chakabva will be expected to provide some much-needed leadership and experience.
The squad also includes four uncapped players in Tanaka Chivanga, Joylord Gumbie, Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Dion Myers.
The tour between the two sides begins with a one-off Test, which will be followed by three One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches.
The ODIs will be held between July 16 and July 20, while the Twenty20 matches have been slated for July 23 to July 27.
All matches will be played at Harare Sports Club.
