ZIMBABWE Cricket have announced a 20-men squad for the one-off Ispahani Test Match against Bangladesh, slated for July 7-11 at Harare Sports Club.
The squad, released on Thursday, features the return of skipper Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara and Timycen Maruma.
Williams sat out the two Tests against Pakistan because of a soft tissue injury to his left hand, while the duo of Chatara and Maruma missed out on selection during Zimbabwe’s previous outing against Pakistan.
There is no place for Raza Sikandar Butt, as he continues his gradual return to action after surgery to remove a tumor.
In his stead, the likes of Craig Ervine, Blessing Muzarabani, Brendan Taylor and Regis Chakabva will be expected to provide some much-needed leadership and experience.
The squad also includes four uncapped players in Tanaka Chivanga, Joylord Gumbie, Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Dion Myers.
The tour between the two sides begins with a one-off Test, which will be followed by three One-Day-Internationals and Twenty20 matches.
The ODIs will be held between July 16-20, while the Twenty20 matches have been slated for July 23-27.
All matches will be held at Harare Sports Club.
