NEW: ZINWA owed ZiG382 million

THE Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) says its consumers owe it ZiG382 million in unpaid water bills.

In a statement on Tuesday, ZINWA said some unpaid bills go beyond a period of four months.

“As of June 30, 2024, various consumer categories owed ZINWA a total of ZiG382, 571, 195 in unpaid bills, some of which are outstanding for periods above four months,” it said.

The consumers owing ZINWA include Government ministries and departments, irrigating farmers, local authorities, mines, parastatals, schools and churches.
