Newboys Platinum Ngezi lure seasoned players

After reportedly signing for Dynamos, Young Warriors defender Liberty Chakoroma has dumped the Harare giants to sign for newly-promoted Ngezi Platinum.

Ngezi Platinum unveiled their new signings who include high-profile names like Chakoroma, former Dynamos players Tichaona Mabvura, Washington Pakamisa, Zivanai Mhanda, ex-Young Warriors defender Knowledge Machona and goalkeeper Blessing Mwandimutsira who moved from relegated Buffaloes.

In showing their financial prowess, the platinum miners managed to lure Chakoroma who came close to joining Dynamos earlier this month after being released by South African side Free State Stars.

a?I never signed for Dynamos as reported in the press. I almost joined Dynamos but we could not agree on certain terms when the deal was just as good as done,a? Chakoroma said.

a?Of course Dynamos were my first priority when I came back home from South Africa. But in football you always expect things like these and I had to come here at Ngezi Platinum. We agreed on everything with Ngezi and I am happy here. I am now just looking forward to enjoy playing here and help the team achieve a lot.a?

It always appeared difficult for Chakoroma to join Dynamos where he had to compete for the center-back position with Captain Augustine Mbara, Warriors defender Elisha Muroiwa and Sydney Linyama. – supersport.com .
