Newly appointed Manica Province State Secretary pays courtesy call on Minister Mugadza

THE newly appointed State Secretary of Manica Province in Mozambique, His Excellency Lourenço Mateus Lindonde, this morning paid a courtesy call on the Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza to cement relations between the two neighbouring provinces.


Speaking in an interview, Prof Lindonde emphasized the importance of fostering strong ties between the neighbouring provinces.


“We are here to visit Manicaland province as a fulfilment of the relationship between the two countries, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. I was recently appointed the State Secretary for Manica Province and came here to introduce myself and get to know the leadership as well as strengthen our relationship between the two provinces,” he said.


The delegation held a meeting to exchange insights on shared challenges and explore solutions beneficial to both regions.


Min Mugadza expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the discussions, highlighting critical developments at the Forbes-Machipanda border post.


“We discussed a number of issues ranging from the establishment of a one-stop border post at Forbes-Machipanda, and we have informed them of the developments that are going to be taking place soon, which is the revamping of the border post. They are ecstatic about it as they prepare to do the same on their side as well,” he said.
