Online Reporter

Basketball is set to return to Mbare after the City of Harare entered into a partnership with private businesses to install a new surface and fibre boards at Stodart Courts.

The partnership, initiated by Ngoni Mukukula through his “Hoops 4 Hope” project, is already underway.

Mukukula, a former Women’s national team coach and administrator, is one of the founders of ‘Hoops 4 Hope’.

The initiative seeks to alleviate lives through basketball.

The project will see Mukukula return to his roots with a massive effort which is expected to help the youth in Mbare and surrounding areas stay away from drug and substance abuse.

This will also create a platform to identify and nurture talent in the community.
