TINASHE Mashaireni powered Ngezi Platinum Stars Under-19 to a 1-0 victory over Harare City in a ZIFA Northern Region Division One League match at Baobab Stadium on Saturday.

The solitary goal took his tally to two goals out of two fixtures, having scored last weekend when they humbled Herentals at Motor Action Sports Club by a similar score line.

It means Ngezi Under-19 have now kept their 100 percent start intact by taking a full set of points in their first three assignments of the season.

Ngezi Under-19 coach, Kifton Kadurira’s men have now dislodged Trojan Stars who topped the league before Matchday 3.

Trojan Stars stumbled to a 1-2 loss to MWOS FC, who ticked their first win in the Northern Region league.

They won on the back of two draws against Chegutu Pirates and Shamva Mine.

Golden Eagles seem to have recovered from their nervy start which saw them losing their opening fixture to Herentals Under-20.

They claimed their second win of the season by beating a battling Chegutu Pirates 1-0.

There was nothing to separate Karoi United and PAM FC, with both clubs settling for a 1-1 stalemate at Chikangwe Stadium.

This league is proving to be a different beast for Concession United, who remain the only club without a point from three attempts.

They were on the receiving end in their first three matches and anchor the log.

Meanwhile, the Northern Region leadership has confirmed that an invitational Independence Cup would be played at Glamis Arena Show Grounds.

Herentals will battle for the Harare Metropolitan Province Independence Cup against Harare City tomorrow.
