NGEZI YOUNG GUNS BACK HOME

NGEZI Platinum’s dynamic duo, Tinashe Mavhudzi and Tinotenda Ditima, are back home after a loan stint at Chegutu Pirates.

Mavhudzi, a 22-year-old forward, made headlines with his historic call-up to the Warriors squad for the CHAN qualifier against Eswatini becoming the first Chegutu Pirates player to achieve such a feat.

Ditima recorded three goals and provided three assists last season.

Unfortunately, their best turned out to be little to save Zaire from being swept away by relegation waters.

But, their stay at Pirates excited Ngezi Platinum coach Takesure Chiragwi, who brought them back to join the teams’ senior side.

The duo was loaned without playing in the Premiership after graduating from the team’s developmental side which is in the hands of Kifton Kadurira.

Their loan move turned out to be exactly what the doctor had ordered as they are now back with a chance to make an impact for the 2023 champions.

The duo is eager to contribute to their parent club’s success.

“We’re excited to be back home and can’t wait to get started,” Mavhudzi said.

“We’re grateful for the experience we gained at Chegutu Pirates, but it’s great to be back with our Ngezi Platinum family.

“Chegutu gave us the opportunity to showcase what we can deliver and I will be forever grateful for that privilege.”

 Ditima added:

“We may not have achieved our goal of surviving relegation with Chegutu Pirates, but we’re focused on helping Ngezi Platinum achieve success. We’re ready to give our all and make our mark.

“It always good to be home and everything started at this club. It was a good experience to be part of a group of players who played for Pirates on their debut season in PSL.”
