Founded by the late Admire Kasenge, the group, which is famed for popular hits like Pamuchato waTobias, Aunt Rhoda and Chitima Nditakure, is still churning out refreshing tunes.
Now fronted by Sam Mabukwa, the new-look Ngosimbi Crew have released another album titled Chikwambo Chabhalubha.
Speaking to H-Metro, Mabukwa said: “The album consists of six songs, Chamangurangura, Lina, Chabhalubha, Dzidzo, Gwatakwata and Ruregerero remix.
“This will be the fourth album after the death of Admire Kasenga.
“I am the lead vocalist who also plays the rhythm guitar.”
He added:
“We are happy to be back as Covid-19 affected us since studios were forced to close and we lost our contacts.
“After the death of Admire Kasenga, the music industry really became hard for us.”
The group consists of six members, Mabukwa, Pharoah Chikada, who plays the bass guitar, Kudakwashe Kaponda (drummer), Knowledge Chapeu (sub-rhythm) and Chomi Mabukwa.
