Namibia’s Jossy the previous week.
Nkuli’s eviction didn’t come as a surprise as fans had been baying for her blood since the first week she walked into the house.
But the dramatic eviction show had seen four housemates two from South Africa and the others from Zambia up for possible eviction, after Luclay played the “nice guy” when he refused to nominate a single housemate.
It is a rule that if a housemate fails to nominate anyone for eviction they themselves become nominees and actor Luclay had a go at it.
It had never happened in the history of the reality show that fellow countrymen from two countries become evictees.
The other evictees were Zambian beautician Kim (25) and fellow countryman Mumba (24), a radio DJ.
Botswana’s Miss P, as head of the Tails house, saved Nigerian model Karen (27) from the nomination list. She then replaced Karen with Mumba.
Sunday’s Eviction Show was spiced by powerhouse performances by Zimbabwe’s own Cindy backed by High Definition as well as Ethiopian Nhatty. Cindy performed her upcoming song titled “Tonight” which whipped the audiences into near frenzy.
After all was said and done, it was the end of the road for the loud-mouthed Nkuli and she did not shed any tears.
Already, the Tails housemates seemed unmoved by Nkuli’s departure but a rejuvenated Mumba who most people thought was the quiet, boring one in Tails, burst into excitement and oozed with energy.
Once they were back from their near eviction, Luclay and Mumba were the most vocal in the House and they couldn’t stop telling everyone about their experience.
Luclay had been overwhelmed with the love the girls had given him on stage.
“You should have seen all the girls. They really love Denzel (meaning Luclay),” Mumba told Danny.
Meanwhile, Karen couldn’t help appreciating being saved by Miss P from possible eviction.
“I’m glad Miss P saw potential in me,” she told Bhoke while they were cooking dinner.
Mumba also told everyone that perhaps Nkuli had gone to Heads but Karen just said she was sad to have lost her “Teddy Bear” referring to Nkuli.
“Who’ll be my Teddy Bbear now? Nkuli was nice and small,” she added.
Luclay simply couldn’t stop talking about himself and his over excitement was written all over his face.
To think that he and Nkuli were so close and she was the one person who stood by his side when he had that fight with Lotus.
One would expect him to show a bit of remorse after her departure but he was too caught up in his own celebrity status. Instead he noted that when Nkuli spoke to IK on stage, there was an awkward silence in the audience and she was the calmest of them all.
The Tailsmates then realised that with Nkuli’s eviction, the playing field had been levelled as there were now five boys and five girls.
Karen jokingly declared Luclay as her new husband. So, Nkuli has left and Mumba has come out of her shell. Was there any tension that Africa didn’t notice between the two girls? Let’s wait and see what more Mumba has in store.
Mumba’s already told Ernest, Alex and Kim that said she’s intelligent and had beautiful legs.
Last week, the Heads housemates were spared from nomination but this week the game is on, let’s see who will be up. Zimbabwe is one housemate safe as Vimbai Mutinhiri won the Head of House task.
This means that she can still use her powers to “save and replace” Wendall Parson, her fellow contryman should he be put up for eviction. – DStv-Entertainment Reporter.
