DENVER Mukamba, Tanaka Shandirwa, a big sponsorship package on the eve of an epic showdown, a relegation battle between the Big Boys − there are so many storylines.

In a way, it’s a strange Harare Derby but it’s still a titanic contest between the capital’s two biggest sides.

Denver, on his own, could write the script of this showdown his history with this

battle as a fighter on both sides in the blue and green colours.

He even scored a goal for the Green Machine in the Harare Derby.

But, he is back home, where they love him with all their hearts, and he has also been counting his blessings after receiving a car as a token of appreciation for his contribution to this game.

Shandirwa, on his own, could also write the script of this showdown his history with this battle as a fighter on both sides in the blue and green colours.

He is at CAPS United now, where they love him with all their hearts, and he has also been counting his blessings after reviving his career.

The Green Machine are in camp in Mutare.

“We have been getting enough support from the leadership and our coaches are doing the best they can for us to see the bigger picture,” said Shandirwa.

It’s a battle between two Zambian gaffers Kelvin Kaindu and Ian Bakala.

Kaindu has revived Dynamos in a big way and he has transformed a club which was short on confidence and was staggering towards Division One before his arrival.

Bakala has perfected the art of beating the Big Boys with victories over Highlanders, FC Platinum and Scottland.

Yesterday, the Scotts even teased the DeMbare and Makepekepe fans to come and support them when they host Manica Diamonds at Rufaro tomorrow.

The argument from the Scotts was that a Manica Diamonds loss will be good news for the two Harare giants in their quest to avoid the chop.

Whether that will happen both the borrowed support and the fall of the Gem Boys remains to be seen.

But, what is not in denial is that this is a very BIG game and it could have serious consequences for the club which loses.

One can probably say that there is no room for error for the Glamour Boys in this battle.

Tomorrow, CAPS United will unveil a sponsorship deal with an Eswatini bank, which will come into effect next season. The message from the sponsors is that they are confident that the Green Machine will be playing in the PSL next season.

Can the same be said about DeMbare?

Well, at about 5pm on Sunday, we will get a good hint.
