NO ROOM FOR ERROR! Chicken Inn and Yadah in relegation dogfight

Fungai Muderere at Luveve Stadium

THIS is not just another Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie. It’s a full-blown survival battle.
Chicken Inn, bruised and battered from a miserable campaign, go toe to toe with equally limping Yadah Stars this afternoon at Luveve Stadium. Both teams are desperate to claw their way out of the relegation quicksand.

The Gamecocks will be without their rock-solid defender Itai “Ijoma” Mabunu, whose towering presence at the back has often been the difference between a narrow loss and a respectable draw. His absence could open floodgates against a Yadah side also gasping for air in the deep end of the log standings.

As it stands, Chicken Inn are 14th with 17 points and a -2 goal difference. Yadah, sitting at 16th, are also on 17 points but with a worrying -5 goal difference.
Both sides have failed to build any meaningful momentum this season. Chicken Inn’s early-season confidence has crumbled, while Yadah’s “Miracle Boys” tag has begun to sound more like a punchline than a prophecy.
It’s not pretty. It’s not polished. But it’s a fight to the death and only one team can rise.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS
Chicken Inn: A Ngwenya, G Mutungamiri, J Tulani, X Ndlovu, D Jaricha, A Chinda, G Majika, K Mutenha, M Bhebhe, L Mangaira
Yadah Stars: T Mvula, K Nadolo, T Chikumba, A Gwatidzo, T Daka, I Mucheneka, M Faranando, A Makopa, J Chipangura, E Chitauro, T Vareta
With no cushion to fall back on and fans fast losing patience, this one has all the makings of a nasty, nervy showdown. One mistake, one moment of brilliance, one blunder — and the road to Division One could come knocking.
Brace for a nail-biter.
