The decks will do the talking this weekend as some of Bulawayo’s finest DJs headline the Lovers’ Edition of the popular old-school showcase, Private School.
Returning for its third year on Sunday, the event, known for celebrating timeless classics, is putting the spotlight firmly on selectors who will guide revellers through a nostalgic journey of Soul, RnB, Dancehall, Kwaito and Hip-Hop.

Veteran spinners Possenti and Morris Touch lead the line-up with a Soul set packed with slow jams and golden oldies, while Skiplusy, Smith On Deck and Kead have been tasked with delivering smooth RnB anthems. Ras Obi will take charge of Dancehall, while Sbago flies the Kwaito flag.
DJ BMAN will round off the night with Hip-Hop favourites.

Organisers say the carefully curated roaster is designed to keep the dancefloor alive from start to finish.
“This event is a tribute to old-school music lovers of Hip-Hop, Soul, Dancehall and RnB. We adhere strictly to our music policy. Attendees should come prepared to relive the sounds of the ’90s,” they said.
Over the years, Private School has earned a reputation for blending mature crowds with quality DJ sets, creating a relaxed but lively atmosphere where music takes centre stage. Throwback fashion, a chilled atmosphere and friendly games add to the vibe, but it is the selectors behind the decks who remain the main attraction.
