MADRID. – Jose Mourinho has reportedly sealed two huge deals before officially being unveiled as Real Madrid’s new boss.
The Special One, 63, is set to make a sensational return to the Bernabeu dugout after Florentino Perez came out on top in the club’s presidential election on Sunday.
And Marca reports Mourinho has already completed the signings of Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries before even putting pen to paper himself.
The three-time Premier League title winner, who is quittingBenfica to take the job, will also be handed a £130 MILLION warchest by Perez to make a marquee addition.
Konate, 27, is heading to the Spanish capital after failing to agree fresh terms at Liverpool.
Real Madrid pounced when Chelsea had also been linked with making a move for the French centre-back.
And Dumfries, who has jetted out to the World Cup with the Netherlands, is joining from Serie A title winners Inter Milan.
The Dutchman will provide Trent Alexander-Arnold with stiff competition for the right-back slot after Dani Carvajal’s exit.
Dumfries, 30, was previously wanted by Manchester United and Chelsea, only to fail to rubber-stamp a switch to the Premier League.
Mourinho is also on course to be handed an eye-watering £130m gift when he arrives at Real Madrid. – The Sun
