Norton hosts urban councils’ sporting games

THE town of Norton was a hive of activity over the weekend as 10 urban councils converged at Ngoni Stadium for outdoor sporting events.
Some of the councils that participated at the Inter-Municipal Sports Festival that was hosted by Norton Town Council include Harare City, City of Mutare, Marondera Municipality, Karoi Town Council, Gwanda, Chegutu and the host, Norton Town Council.

Masvingo City was crowned winners after they beat the hosts in the football finals.

The local authorities also participated in other sporting activities such as netball, tug of war and pool, among others.
