Nox to perform on 3 continents

international and overseas show bookings for his genre this year.

The 29-year-old rhythm and blues singer, unlike most other urban grooves artistes, has already been booked for several overseas shows to the end the year.

The “Ndinonyara” hitmaker, who is currently riding high in the local charts with his song ‘‘Usazvinyepere’’ and “I Love You”, is billed to perform in three continents before the year is out.

“At the moment, my calendar for confirmed shows stands like this, August 3 I will be here is SA in Cosmo City for the Urban Grooves Festival then between August 9 and 10 we are in Lesotho for the International Youth Festival,” he said.

“August 23 and 24 we are back to Birmingham and Coventry for King Alfred’s Birthday Bash then we will be back to Cape Town on August 31 for a show dubbed Nox Back by Public Demand with Tendai DJ Commander Samu.

Nox also announced that on September 6 and 7 he will be performing in Scotland for the first time ever and then from September 27-30 he is billed to perform in USA and Canada.

Nox has been enjoying the ‘‘man of the moment’’ status for a while now and his latest rewards were three shows in England with Zimbabwean self-exiled music legend, Thomas ‘‘Mukanya’’ Mapfumo from April 24-26.

“Those shows were epic not only because the crowd was electric but Mukanya proved he still has it, he is very good on stage and he did all my favourite golden oldies and his band was on point.

“I think my music is going to be the staple music for all Zimbabweans abroad for a while, it’s crazy how everyone sang along to all the 20 songs I performed,” he said.

He added that his current success is a continuation from where he left off last year.
Nox said that if all goes well, he will also be travelling with his Ice n’ Roses band to England in December, and from there on all his tours will be done with a live band.

The release of his new album, ‘‘Eighth Wonder’’, is also on the horizon as he has already posted the album sleeve on his official Facebook page.

“By the end of the year we are going to make sure Africa knows us through world- class videos as already my video for the song ‘I Love You’ is now being played on BET & Channel O. I have been working very hard with prolific music video producer  Chagwa Black to make a number of high-quality videos from my upcoming album, Eighth Wonder,” said Nox.
