DANCEHALL musician, Tony D, will this weekend launch his new compilation album, Dangerous alongside Enock “Nox” Guni and spread it to several parts of the country in whirlwind tours in a bid to market the project that has five brand new songs.
The 10-track project also carries tracks that he released last year such as Ngoma Yarira and Ndipeiwo mukana.
Tony D, born Robert Tondoya, has since 2003 been releasing single tracks and Dangerous is his first complete album.
In an interview, the musician, who is rising like a Phoenix in the dancehall music industry, said he would partner Nox at his first show tonight (Friday) at Ngezi Platinum Diner before crossing to a popular ghetto bar, Turf Night Club tomorrow (Saturday). Both shows are in Ngezi.
DJ Qalabash, Junior Spice, Black Warrior, DJ Bounty will perform alongside The Taxi Driver hit-maker.
He will launch the album locally at Courtauld Theatre during the first weekend of March before staging other live performances in Harare.
Tony D’s most popular gem last year proved to be Ngoma Yarira in which he hails Mutare-based wheel spinners,
musicians and entertainers who include wheel spinners Hollies B, DJ Ranga and promoter, Obey “Big Fish” Hove.
The song was produced by Dr Clarence.
The musician famed for the hit track, Taxi driver has already incorporated upcoming chanters, Black Warrior and Magaivha to the Dancehall Records stable.
Nox, arguably one of the most talented artistes whose lyrical ingenuity is exceptional, will be expected to belt out songs that catapulted him to glory such as Kana Ndinewe, Ndinonyara and Maria.
He has also proved to be a love specialist after coining gems such as Garandichauya and Zvandadiwa.
