WHILE we might all have dreams and aspirations in life, turning them into reality can be a mammoth task.
Sometimes all it takes is a word to change someone’s mindset and trigger actions that can take them closer to achieving set goals. There are many individuals who have the ability to spread positive massages that encourage people to make a move on chasing their dreams.
Renowned motivational writer, Simba Nyamadzawo, displays this ability in his book “Keys for Inspiration”, where he speaks on issues that include greatness, leadership, wisdom, attitude, purpose and mentorship, among others.
The book is compact, which makes it easy to read on the go as opposed to bulky publications.
The text is packed with inspirational content with the writer making use of bible verses and quotes from other great individuals to put his points across. In one of the chapters, the writer highlights that one’s attitude plays a significant role in the outcome of any venture.
“It has been proven that an average person with a positive mind will go far in life than a gifted person with a negative attitude,” he writes.
In another section, he expresses the importance of collaboration, citing that team effort yields the best results.
There are many other inspirational lessons and practical insights in this book, but that is just about it.
While there is a lot that can be grasped from this book, I was disappointed with the writer’s repetition of content, replicating material he has used in his other books.
Maybe the book was meant for a new audience but then those who have read his other publications will easily pick the monotony.
He could have done more in trying to bring in fresh ideas rather than the ordinary motivational words we have heard over and over again.
I have noticed this major weakness in many motivational writers. Their books are boring reads because in most cases they talk about the same things over and over again. The only difference being the title, book cover and packaging.
