Nyaungwe Arts Ensemble wins Chibuku Neshamwari finals

Nyaungwe Arts Ensemble from Murehwa, Mashonaland East, has won the 2024 Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance finals held at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo on Saturday.

For their triumph, the group won the US$15 000 prize money.

Group spokesperson, Togarepi Vambe, said:

“This victory belongs to all the people from Mashonaland East who have been rallying behind us.

“We are going to use the prize money wisely.

“As a group, we have been doing several projects.

“Our dream is to become a nursery of new talent.”

Harare-based Culture” Warriors came second, while Dapurahunzva from Manicaland were voted third.
