HOSTS Old Hararians will be hoping to use home conditions when they face National Rugby League newcomers Old Johannians in their backyard this afternoon.
Old Hararians are currently fourth in the race behind their opponents Old Johannians.
However, the Old Boys are at home and that should tilt the scales in their favour.
Old Boys have lost two matches against Sports Club and Old Georgians.
“We have intensified our preparations and we have been working hard on our set pieces,” said assistant coach Dereck Chiwara.
“Our team is a strong side and we have a lot to play for but what is required of us is to improve and not leave anything to chance in all our following fixtures.
“The two defeats are a wake-up call for us and have made us to work on what is key to improve in the remaining fixtures.
“Playing at our home ground will also give the players a relaxed mood which they must take advantage of and win.
“We also have exciting players, Gerald Simba and Shingi Chirumuta, who used to play for Harare Sports Club.”
Old Georgians take on Mutare.
The Groombridge side have lost once.
Southern City of Chitungwiza have a date against Police.
