Opportunity in disguise

“The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.”
Proverbs 13 : 4

WE all want to be blessed, we pray for God’s blessings to rain down on us.

Each one of us has a specific blessing that they want from God, you know exactly what it looks like and not only do you see it in your mind but you mention it by name in your prayers and affirmations.

But sometimes we miss the blessing when it comes because it appears as separate individual pieces instead of an assembled finished product.

You ask God for a cake and He answers your prayer by giving you the ingredients, the utensils and the oven.

If you are not wise enough to discern your cake in this form, you will be frustrated and walk away, completely missing the answer to your prayer.

God does not always respond by giving you a finished product, oftentimes He gives you resources and people that will be instrumental in helping you build your dream.

Hard work is a biblical principle and we have to be disciplined and committed enough to know that we have to put in some work and effort before we can harvest.

Opportunity usually comes disguised as hard work and unfortunately some people don’t recognize it; we want the blessings but we don’t want to do the “works” part of faith.

God gives us the tools but we have to use them, you have to be prepared to work, to build and to grow.

So before you give up in frustration, look around you, maybe the answer to that prayer has already been provided, you just need to put the pieces together.

Pray for wisdom to see what God has put in front of you.

Be blessed.
