POPULAR Sakubva watering hole, Gwinyai Bar, fondly referred to by imbibers in the eastern border city of Mutare as PaBako, will rekindle its inclination to Zimdancehall music live shows by bringing on stage one artists after the other starting next week. Self styled Zimdancehall godfather, Soul Jah Love will be the first to serenade revellers at PaBako when he takes to the stage next Friday night.
PaBako proprietor, Given Shumba, confirmed the developments.
“We are going to start our Zimdancehall shows starting next Friday (May 8). For a start we will have Soul Jah Love and everything is now in place for the popular Harare based musician to come and perform at Gwinyai Bar. In fact, we have lined up a good number of shows that will see fellow Zimdancehall artists like Killer T, Seh Calaz and Kinnah among many others coming to perform at PaBako.
“We sincerely urge patrons from different parts of Mutare and beyond to come and enjoy with us. We are happy that we have managed to build a brand of our own especially here in Mutare and we hope we will be able to maintain that brand,” said Shumba.
PaBako has managed to lure imbibers from different parts of Mutare albeit being located in the heart of Sakubva high-density suburb.
