SONGBIRD Pah Chihera says she will start recording new music next month after having starved fans for some time.
The Runonzi Rudo singer said she was affected by the death of her supportive uncle Prince Musarurwa, who died in 2020.
The Covid-19 pandemic, she said, didn’t help matters either.
“I was affected by Covid-19 and the death of my uncle (Prince).
“At one point, I thought of quitting music for good but I decided to continue entertaining and educating people through music.
“I am now ready to go back into the studio and I am doing that next month.
“Last year, I even recorded the song Anondidabata with Mount Zion Music but, honestly, I wasn’t that ready.
“I gave myself enough time and this time around I promise more music,” she said.
Pah Chihera also hinted on a collaboration with Dereck Mpofu.
“I have several singles lined up for this year and I will also be working on a collaboration with Dereck Mpofu.
“All the songs which I am going to record will have accompanying videos to complement the audios.
“I am engaging the services of Blessing Masanga, the producer who produced Runonzi Rudo.
“He understands me very well and I will also work with Mono,” she said.
She has three albums to her credit – Runonzi Rudo, Mbavha Yerudo and Haitongwe Nedemo.
Apart from music, the songbird has ventured into acting.
“I also have a passion for acting and I have featured on a film titled Pipeline by Melgin Tafirenyika.
“The film will hit the market very soon.
“I am just showing how versatile I am.
“Above all, Covid-19 taught us to think outside the box and have a Plan B in life,” she said.
