in Harare yesterday as police are still investigating the case.
The two sisters aged 24 and 26 and their cousin who is 24 were transferred from Gweru to Harare on Wednesday for the parade.
Police refused to divulge where the women were being held, fearing that the police station could be besieged.
Scores of people thronged Gweru Central Police Station where the women were detained on Tuesday, demanding to beat them up.
The three are suspected to be part of a syndicate that has been kidnapping and sexually abusing men in search of semen reportedly meant for ritual purposes. They were arrested along the Gweru-Lower Gweru Road.
Their vehicle, a Chevrolet Aveo was involved in an accident while being driven by one of the women’s boyfriend. Police recovered 31 used condoms at the accident scene and three were half full with semen.
Police spokesperson, Superintendent Andrew Phiri, yesterday said:
“They came to Harare yesterday (on Wednesday) and we are still carrying out investigations,” he said.
“We want to carry out an identification parade and at the moment we can not divulge much information as the investigating officers are still carrying out investigations.”
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Patrick Chademana yesterday said:
“We are still expecting complainants to come forward and assist us with investigations. No one has come forward yet.
“As of now we can’t say when they will appear in court,” Insp Chademana said.
Officer Commanding Police in Midlands Province, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charles Makono on Wednesday said they had chosen Harare for the identification parade since it was central and it enabled complainants to be brought from different parts of the country.
On Wednesday there were reports police had located two of the four complainants in Gweru.
The other complainant was said to be in South Africa while police failed to locate the fourth one.
