Parliament Targets Barriers to Youth Health Services

The Parliamentary Youth Caucus, in partnership with the SADC Parliamentary Forum’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV and AIDS and Governance Project, is this week embarking on a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at addressing challenges faced by young people in accessing health services.

The outreach programme, which runs from June 22 to 26, will be held in five constituencies across the country, starting at Lobengula Hall in Bulawayo.

Similar dialogues will also be conducted in Masvingo, Kwekwe, Kadoma and Epworth.

The initiative seeks to engage youths on issues affecting access to SRHR services while promoting awareness and encouraging their participation in shaping policies that affect their well-being.

Organisers have invited young people from the targeted constituencies to attend the discussions.
