In a dramatic court revelation, Pastor Vhetu of End Time Messages has admitted to fathering two children with Eunice Mururi, whose wedding he officiated.
This confession came after DNA tests confirmed that Mururi’s estranged husband, Farai Hatirarami, is not the biological father.
Mururi is seeking US$700 per month in child maintenance, prompting Vhetu to request a lower amount. He claimed his income relies on tithes and food hampers, offering only 150 ZiG per child.
Vhetu, who has eight other children, stated he has no bank account, depending on EcoCash for transactions.
Harare Magistrate Diana Musiiwa dismissed Vhetu’s proposal as insincere, ordering him to pay US$175 monthly for both children. The case highlights the challenges of family responsibilities amid complex dynamics. (-iharare/Afrogette))
