HOUSE of Power Apostolic Ministries Church leader, Pastor Tinashe Murigo, who is currently working on a hymnal album in a bid to diversify his music, has released a single, Uyu Ndiani.
It was produced by Ngoni Mashezha. Murigo showcases his artistic ingenuity on the new single which was presented in reggae/conscious.
In an interview, he said the single would be carried on his forthcoming album, Mr Preacher due to be released in January next year.
“I have rebranded to Tinashe Murigo at Life Music. The vision being I aspire to minister through music to people who are facing life challenges. It is against this background that I composed this song, having personally endured the unpredictable and deceitful nature of people I trusted and brought closer. The song advises people to trust God since He will never let us down,” he said.
His forthcoming album will also carry hymnal songs from churches such as United Methodist, Anglican, Seventh Day Adventist and AFM that will be presented in different genres such as traditional, Afro-jazz and reggae.
Murigo’s songs, “Senondo” and “Zvakabhadharwa” received rave reviews on local radio station, Diamond FM Gospel Super 20. His most popular track, Senondo, was drawn from Psalm 42 where it reads….“As the deer pants for the waters of the streams, so my soul pants for you…”
He draws his inspiration from gospel musicians, Pastor Haisa, Agatha Murudzwa and Donna Chibaya. He has one album to date titled Zvinofadza Sei.
It carries soothing tracks which include “Ari Mandiri Mukuru”, “Hezvo”, “Masuwo Edenga”, “Anorapa Moyo”, “Shamwari Yemoyo” and “Jesu Haashanduke”.
