Pharmacist fined for assault

Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Lazarus Murendo convicted Kamuriwo on his own plea of guilty to physical abuse charges.
He was ordered to pay the fine by May 3 failing which he would serve a one-month jail term.

In addition, Mr Murendo sentenced him to a wholly suspended 10-month jail term on condition of good behaviour.
Mr Albert Nyamupfukudza of Nyamupfukudza and Partners represented Kamuriwo.
Mr Murendo said that the two parties had a dispute over an issue the court considers to be trivial not warranting the use of violence.
