MUSIC has a strong connection to sex. In fact, music and sex go together like butter and bread.
Music paves the way from the dance floor to the bedroom setting, the atmosphere and making sure that what goes down is steamy and hot for both of you.
It is great that a couple compiles a playlist that gets both of them in the mood. In a certain study, it was discovered that playing music during sex makes it feel better and more enjoyable. Music makes sex better because of its rhythm putting you into an orgasmic, trance-like state.
It is common that most people use music to a?hidea? their lovemaking sounds from neighbours and other family members, but there is more to it. Everyone has their preferred type of music to have sex to and some people even have specific songs that get them ready. Thereas no denying that musicas influence and the inextricable tie to sex are lit.
When you listen to music, it can help fire up some dopamine, the pleasure hormone which gets you happy. Funny enough, this same hormone is also released during sex, which means that brains are essentially getting amped on the same chemical reaction, sex with music then become inseparable.
When you listen to music and get this increase in dopamine, you also start to associate it with whoever, as you are evoking emotional feelings directly correlated to that person. If the relationship is a romantic one, then the songs that you listen to together also become inexorably tied to love, romance and sex.
Songs can literally a?a?pump you upaa, empower and get your primal drives going. Neuroscientists have said that a?virtually all peoplea? respond more to a lower-pitched beat than they do to something higher, which is why most pop music doesnat cut it in the bedroom.
Low tone music can also cause quite a lot of vibrations, which people find rather pleasing, for obvious reasons. Some people even have a physical response when they listen to music that produces a reaction similar to orgasm namely trembling, sweating, arousal, increased heart rate which is, in effect skin a?orgasminga? to the music.
Well, everyone should listen to music while having sex. And not just because everyone loves music, but because there are actual psychological benefits, including giving you the tools to be your absolute best in the bedroom.
Another study found that listening to certain genre of stimulating music increases signs of arousal, including heart rate, breathing rate and skin conductance. It looks like you can maximise your feel-good chemical release by listening to music while having sex a that is, by engaging in two major activities that cause dopamine release at the same time.
More proof: A variety of studies explored the relationship between listening to music and light exercise. These studies suggest that people who listen to music when they work out feel less fatigue and therefore exercise for longer periods of time than people who do not listen to music when they work out. For those who have been to the gym, this makes sense as music is played throughout the sessions. Listening to music also helps narrow attention to the physical activity task at hand, which means you are distracted from any sensations of discomfort that may arise from fatigue while exercising. And when you are able to focus solely on your movements, the duration and intensity of your work out may also increase, which will certainly improve the mood.
So, what does all of this mean when it comes to sex? As most of us know, sex can be as exhausting as working out. Like a great session in the gym, a great sex session pushes you to your physical limits, tests your endurance and makes you sweat profusely.
Sometimes, it really does feel like an intense 30-minute sex session burns as many calories as the elliptical, especially when you incorporate strength training in the form of those complex, seemingly impossible positions. It only makes sense, then, that listening to music while having sex has the same benefits as listening to music while engaging in any other kind of physical activity.
Cranking the tunes during sex can help you focus on your moves and distract you from negative thoughts or feelings (whether thatas fatigue, stress or anything else) that might prevent you from reaching your full potential in bed. You will last longer, feel less tired and because of how focused you are on the actual act, be hyperaware of every physical sensation.
Just make sure that your music will not stop in the middle of the game because it becomes a turn-off when music stops and you are forced to stop as well when one of you jumps off the bed to put on the music.
