A DISAPPOINTING start to the season for Leicester City has seen Brendan Rodgers become odds-on favourite to be SACKED.
However, after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to lowly West Ham, Gerrard’s chances shortened to 5/2 to go first, level with Bournemouth boss Scott Parker, who was sacked yesterday.
Leicester suffered a third successive defeat against Chelsea, are bottom of the Premier League and appear to have hit the snooze button in the transfer market.
With star names Wesley Fofana and possibly James Maddison on their way out, Rodgers is standing on very shaky ground.
Gerrard’s Villa side have taken just 12 points from the last 45 available.
The 1-0 defeat at Villa Park cooled some of the scrutiny on West Ham boss David Moyes, whose odds have drifted to around 33/1, but only heightened the tension on Gerrard.
Villa struggled to create opportunities against West Ham and his side were booed off at full time.
Gerrad has also angered local fans with his treatment of Marvelous Nakamba who is yet to start a league match this season.
Everton boss Frank Lampard is another favourite to leave first at 8/1, with Southampton’s Ralph Hasenhuttl next at 10/1. – Planetsport
